Nice Looking but incomfortable

Got this think it was a slip on style based on the photos and nothing in description about lace up. Laced looked decorative. I was going to give them a shot until I tried them on. They felt great until I took a few steps. Where the inner flap that has the hole to run laces through, there is a hard spot. It digs into your foot bad. After 5 steps it felt like I had been stabbed in the soft upper part of my foot. It was very disappointing. They are being returned which was an easy process.
