We love this cage for puddles (syrian hamster). Bought some wood platforms for her to hop around and climb and dig as much as she wants. she is much happier in this cage. I do recommend getting zip ties for the sides of the cage as they come with tiny plastic clips. You will lose one or two when changing the bedding and the bottom ladder was too steep for Puddles but she did end up turning it into a slide haha
