For a Couple Bucks More, Get the Better Cable
I had trouble pulling in a couple stations in (basically flat) Florida. Installed this RG11 cable instead of just replacing the RG6 that ran from the antenna into the house. Great reception now. 90 channels. I also replaced the balan with a $5 Channel Master one. Don't forget to clean up the (probably cruddy) connections from the antenna to the new balan's leads. Good luck.

Reduced signal loss.
I used the RG11 in place of RG6 cable for my camper satellite hookup to reduce signal loss. This allows me to double the distance recommended for the DISH reception, thus giving more opportunities for satellite acquisition.
