These have a nice feel in the hand. The opening is at the top so no salt or pepper spills on the table after grinding. Ease of grind was important to me with hands that are arthritic. Variations of the grind is satisfactory for me. I would recommend them to any person who is looking for a manually operated salt and pepper mill. The brand is one reason I chose to buy these.
