HEAROS Extreme Protection Ear Plugs, NRR 33 Foam Ear Plugs for Noise Reduction, Blue, 28 pairs

I've been getting this brand of earplugs for a couple years and have been satisfied with them. These were redesigned sometime in the last year to have a convex bump at the tail end (outside of the ear end), which I think is supposed to make it easier to insert. The old ones had a flat end. I'm not sure if they're better or not, but they work fine. They do work well, but only if you succeed in inserting it fully. They are made of some sort of memory foam, so you squish them up and attempt to insert them while squished. After insertion they expand. Since the ear canal is not a straight shot, it is very tricky to get them to go in all the way, so it takes practice. I mainly use these as defense against my wife's snoring. If the plugs are inserted well and my wife is not having a particularly bad night, I can barely hear her. However, I can hear my wake-up alarm, which uses a very high (and loud) tone. High tones can break through the ear plug to wake me up.

They work really well. You would be surprised how loud truck stops can be at night with back up beepers, doors slamming, engines/reefers, etc running. Roll them between your fingers, insert them, and relax. Very comfortable. Hard to find in the stores, so I order online.
