My primary reason for getting this hand truck was for fast evacuation of valuable tools & irreplaceable items in the event of a wild fire. The main reason that I chose this hand truck was the size of the tires, to travel over rough terrain, and the size of the load plate. When I received it, I put it together and promptly stored it in my basement as the wild fire threat was low. Approximately a year later, when I needed to use it, I discovered that the tires were out of alignment and would wobble like some old stagecoach or wagon on an old cartoon. I discovered that this was due to the fact that the axle shaft was not perpendicular to the tire's rolling plane. I called Northern Tool customer service. I was told that because the items warranty had expired several months ago, that I would have to contact the manufacture. After explaining my situation to a manufacture's rep as to why I did not bring this to their attention during the warranty period, the rep from Vestil went ahead and sent me a new set of tires. NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL REAL CUSTOMER SERVICE! One thing to learn from my mistake, make sure that you test any new product for proper functioning BEFORE the warranty expires.
