I have not had a hand held electric mixer in 20 plus yrs . I really liked the way it mashed the potatoes I use a potato masher . was so quick .. the speed was very powerful be sure your holding the mixer tightly. I also liked the old look to the mixer . I did not run through dishwasher just did not want to take the chance of turning the beaters . so I hand washed them .
