The food was great tasting and seemed fresh despite the extra delayed shipping day, no fault of the sender. HOWEVER the instructions were not that obvious. As with most things they come with sales inserts which most of us just discard or look at later. In this case, they did include instructions and a sales insert but the instructions were fine print and appeared like a sales slick. Fortunately, I happened to visit my Mother a day after she received it, whom this was a gift for, and wanted to confirm all arrived fresh and there was no packing slip to give away the money I had spent on her. I was about to toss the inserts and noticed the fancy instructions to refrigerate upon arrival. She had left the tin on the counter for at least 24 hours, thankfully they kept. I think the instructions need to be less fancy, made to look like instructions with larger print and nowhere near the brochure so they can be easily recognized as something other than another sales ad. These could have spoiled very easily and for the price would have made some very angry customers. Overall, the presentation was nice, came in a nice tin as shown in the picture and all were individually wrapped. I tried one of the items to make sure they were still fresh and the flavor was good as well as the variety, the brownies were huge! The reason I'm only giving a 4 star is because, although everything turned out fine, sometimes trying to be too fancy, attempting to make up for some of the price tag, can cause other issues. Sometimes simple is best.
