Cocoa butter for ice cream

I bought this to use as an ingredient in home-made ice cream, to make it creamier. It did not work, after cooking it with the other ingredients and then chilling/freezing the cocoa butter gave the ice cream a waxy texture. It seemed like the cocoa butter has separated in tiny particles from all the other ingredients. Very disappointing. I will try non-deodorized cocoa butter next.
