Arrived Broken, Tasted Lightly Rancid

Ritter Sport White Chocolate Hazelnut Bar is itself a tasty product. What i received from the seller wasn't: all 3 bars arrived broken (which isn't that big a deal as they weren't presents for somebody else), but the chocolate surface of each was powdery, and they all tasted lightly rancid. The expiry date is ~ 3 months away, so I assume it was stored in suboptimal conditions.
