The new handle design has less handle insulation

I am a electrician with 22 years of experience myself and my crew have been using these pliers for many years and have always relied on IRWIN for quality and safety. The new handle design removed a portion of the safety insulation now when I hold the pliers as compared to the old design my top finger is resting on bare metal a true concern for me because most of my jobs involve electricity. They have also not updated the photo reflecting the new design so when you order these you will not receive the ones featured in the photo. Ed Mac

chipped rivet

Just bought and rivet holding together has large chip that make them useless for anything other then super light use. Cost more to return for new pair thin to just buy new pair. Have used locking pliers vice-grips for decades and still love them but these are terrible right out of the box. Very, very disappointed. Is vice-grip quality dropping or is this just an anomaly?

New handle design leaves the hand in shock danger

Just got my new IRWIN Tools VISE-GRIP Pliers, Slip Joint, 10-inch (1773637) that I have been using for many years as an electrician, due to the new design that reduces the insulated grip about 30% there is a strong danger or injury or even death from an electrical shock. I work on many high voltage projects and have always felt safe with my Irwin tools until now. Most of the guys and even gals I work with have huge hands so I can`t believe they would put us all in danger to save some money on a grip?? I tried to add a photo but it would not let me
