I really love the half circle design of this. I mostly use this to stand on, to help improve my balance, along with flipping it over to stand on to help stretch my arches and legs. It's also really nice to have more control with the stability of the flat side when laying on it the length of your spine.

Great investment for your health

Working out my whole life and yet, this is my first half roller purchase! It is an excellent tool to infuse into an existing exercise regimen or to get yourself started on that path. Recently I have returned to focusing more attention on my upper back. Grabbed the 3' Roller. My fav exercise right now: Lay the roller down. Put a pillow on around 2 inches of one end. Carefully line up the spine on roller and head on the pillow. Open the arms to their respective sides and lay. What a perfect start or end to the day. Yesterday I used it for lifting my heels during kettlebell squats. I also use it for different balance exercises. So many options! It is very firm, but that works great for me!

It is very firm. I lay on it to stretch my shoulders out and straighten my spine. I put a blanket or towel over it to cushion it a little. It can also be used for balance improvement.
