This is a great preparation oil and I can definitely tell the difference when my husband forgets to use it. When he starts off with the pre-shave oil and follows up with the shave soap, his face isn't irritated (red bumps/red areas). Definitely a keeper!

I've used preshave oils before, but this is by far the best I have ever had! You will need to reapply a few times throughout your shave, but it is not too thick and not too thin. It dramatically improved my shave. I read the other reviews and bit the hook. Not sorry in the slightest.

A lucky find thanks to my wife
I've been using the Badger pre-shave oil for several years since my wife bought it for me as a Christmas stocking stuffer. I have the unfortunate combination of a rather heavy beard and sensitive skin. I apply the oil five minutes before the shave soap. Works like a charm! I've become a Badger salesperson and converted several friends and family members. Unfortunately my local retailer stopped selling the pre-shave oil but I've found dealing directly with Badger very convenient.
