These Home Essence window panels are really quite nice. They are not blackout curtains, but they offer more privacy than sheers-- sort of in the middle! Great for wanting privacy but with some filtered light. I love the light fabric, it's a lot like a soft burlap fabric, and then the trim is a velvety soft, thicker fabric. These are a simple, country-like design with the ties on them, but they all have loops so that your panels will hang evenly. The ties are mostly for decoration. Very nice quality, overall.

These are beautiful curtain panels, I love the little bows at the top to add some visual interest. The top accent and the ties are velvet, which is an interesting choice and I admit I'm wondering if they'll draw more dust than normal but so far after two weeks hanging I haven't noticed any problems. The color is a more muted blue, not bright or pastel, somewhere in the middle and not a loud color at all. They are not blackout at all, they allow a decent amount of light through them so that the outside light is softened but they wouldn't be appropriate if you need the room dark or if you're putting curtains to block light from getting on your TV, for instance. I think they're perfect for our dining room or any west facing windows. Beautiful and a great addition to our rooms.
