This is sooooo nice for the surgery I had. I usually use ice on my shoulder, but sometimes heat is better, especially BEFORE doing my physical therapy exercises. Heat is not recommended for post-operative pain relief, put I'm at the stage where I'm 3 months post-op and sometimes my shoulder just aches and the heat feels better than ice for aching. I use it sometimes to warm up my muscles before I do the exercises, then I use ice after the exercises. Sometimes I work at a computer at work as I'm on light duty for a while, and I come home with sore shoulders and neck, as I'm not used to spending so much time on a computer, and this heating pad is the cat's meow.

i LOVE THIS HEATING PAD WRAP BECUASE AT 88 I AM USUALLY COLD BUT HATE WEARING A COAT OF HEAVY SWEATER ALL THE TIME. iT IS LARGE ENOUGH TO COVER MY SHOULDERS WITH WARM COMFORT. iT IS A TAD AWKWARD TO GET WITHOUT MESSING UP A HAIRDO BUT WORTH THE EFFORT.
