We were looking for a bookshelf to act as a open storage cabinet. The Mainstay we bought was just what we wanted. It was easy to assemble, looks very nice, and for a pre-cut, mass-produced unit, it is sturdy enough for our use. The cardboard back piece is the only part that isn't the quality you would find in a furniture store book shelf. Good product for the money. We would recommend it.

I bought this for my teenage son. He is very good at putting anything together but struggled a little with this. He did get it, it just took a little longer than it normally would. Overall, it is the perfect height, sturdy enough to hold his books and more and I would definitely recommend, especially for your teens.

I bought a total of 4 bookcases easy to put together with minimum tools however if you don't line the backing up correctly you will have an issue with that however adding rods in lot the ones without the back should give it the sturdiness I'm looking for
