West Bend Wb 0.9 Microwave Stainless

This small West Bend microwave measures on the outside 13 and 1/2 inches Deep and that means measuring front to back. It measures 11 and 1/2 inches Tall and that means from the very top to the very bottom. It measures Across 19 inches and that means from left to right at the front and also same from left to right at the back. Inside is smaller. The inside will fit one of the every day standard size tv dinners. This microwave comes with a turntable that is 10 and 1/2 inch heat resistant standard round glass that sits on a removable ring that contains rollers. My 10 and 1/2 inch fiesta ware dinner plates fit inside. Larger size dinner plates may fit if they have the edging that curves upward. I put a pyrex glass of warm water and hit the express 1 minute button and it came close to a boil. I put a pop weaver bag of popcorn in it and pressed popcorn and it popped perfectly, no burning, and few unpopped kernels. I place a marie colanders tv dinner and hit the 6 express button and it was basically done but after removing, stirring contents, placing back in and hitting the +30 second timer, the tv dinner was completely hot and done. I placed a frozen breakfast burrito and pushed the 1 expressed button and the burrito was plenty hot and done. I have pushed the +30 second timer to briefly warm up a cup of coffee and it the coffee is very hot. Everything I have tried in this microwave has come out adequate if not great. The outside of this microwave has vents on the left side and vents almost all the way across the top back in addition to vent holes in the back. The microwave gets a little warm on top if using for ten minutes or using it consecutively. It has not gotten hot on top nor any where on the outside. I keep a stack of paper plates on the top right front area so as not to cover the back top vents. The paper plates are fine there and do not get hot. I had a $600 Sharp microwave that recently went on the blink after a few years. I decided that was a waste of money since it only lasted a few years and since it was huge and since I never really cooked in it, only heating frozen foods and warming foods. I looked at many microwaves and in reality this IS the THIRD microwave I have ordered within a weeks time. A smaller Sharp microwave was ok but got extremely hot on the outside and would not start after using it once for 6 minutes until it entirely cooled down. I tried a small hamilton beach microwave that was over priced in the store for what it does and was very cheapie in appearance with a cheap button pad and it got very hot on the outside. I did not want to spend a lot of money on a microwave and I won't ever again. I had a kenmore microwave that lasted 20 years and actually still worked until it was destroyed in a house fire some years ago. What I am relaying is, the microwave industry does not seem to be what it once was. I cannot vouch for longevity of this microwave. I read ALL the reviews before I decided to purchase. At this price under $45, I feel it was very worthy to give it a try and I am glad I did. If it lasts only two years I will feel it was a good purchase at this price. I read some reviews about peeling and rusting on the inside but those were posted years ago.....still what I would suggest is if it gets a lot of moisture inside from food or cleaning, to simply dry it out. Also, this microwave does have a light that comes on when cooking. The cord is about standard length for a microwave. To help ensure longevity of your microwave, do not enclose it in a tight place that cannot get air to the vents. Make sure it is some inches from the wall on the sides and back. In regards to appearance, it looks nice, I got the stainless which is mostly black but has the area on the front that is stainless just like the image. It has a handle for the door opening.
