Brentwood SC-170S 8 Qt Slow Cooker Stainless Steel

The major complaint I have about this is it says it is round, it is not, it is oval, they told me over the phone it was round as well. Understand I have had three shoulder surgeries and this is hard for me to pick up due to the shape which is why I was looking for a round one with at least a 5 qt. capacity which is what I was told this was. When I pick it up I worry my shoulder will pop out of place due to that happening before with oval crock pots. Now all that said I want to say that this works very well, though for a single man I think it is more than I need, I have yet to fill it more than a quarter of the way up. It cooks very quickly, much faster than my old round one, something I actually do no like, but I will learn this one in time. This is a very tall crock, had it been round I would not worry about it breaking like I am as more of it would fill more up the sides, as is I have never had it more than an inch or two up the sides where with a round one it would have filled half way up the sides with the same amount in it. It does cook well, just much faster than I like, I like to slow cook everything and even at warm it cooks to fast.
