They are **comfortable** and for me the fit is perfect. After I ordered my usual 34" waist I decided to measure. Uh oh, measurement was 35" and I figured I'd have to return them. I was wrong, the size is perfect and the elastic waistband makes them extremely comfortable. I also like velcro on the pockets instead of snaps or buttons. Lastly, the cell phone pocket is an added bonus.

These cargo shorts have everything I want: velcro closures on the pockets instead of buttons, heavy cotton construction, a phone pocket, and an elastic waist band. At first, I didn't know if the ripstop fabric was what I wanted but I'm pleased with it. I could not find any other product made by anyone else that came closer to what I wanted. I would have preferred more elastic in the waist but the fit was close enought that it wasn't required. Also, I would have liked to have had a wider selection of colors but I'm pleased with what I got. The sale price was also a great value.
