Micro-Induction Cooktop provides the best in cooktop performance, safety, and efficiency. Induction heats as electricity flow through a coil to produce a magnetic field under the ceramic plate. When a ferromagnetic cookware is placed on the ceramic surface, currents are induced in the cookware and instant heat is generated due to the resistance of the pan. Heat is generated to the pan only and no heat is lost. As there are no open flames, inductions are safer to use than conventional burners. Once cookware is removed, all molecular activity ceases and heating is stopped immediately.

Bought this looking to cook food using the sous vide method but didn't want to spend a lot of money on a sous vide machine. It keeps the temperature constant and works perfectly. The only thing I would change is to have more smaller temperature increments. The temperature settings are in 20 degree increments.

I purchased both a NuWave induction cooker and this one. They were quite similar. I tried this one and it works beautifully if you want an induction cooker. Luckily I already had pans that were magnetic so I didn't have to purchase any new cookware. This unit is very efficient and a pleasure to use. I'm taking the NuWave back because it costs $42 more and didn't seem worth the extra money.
