Solid mat. I bought it to lay in our garage for when I train plyometrics to absorb shock from jumping drills. It's not soft to the touch, but very firm. It's 1/4” thick and it's lightweight and easy to move. My kids have been jumping and tumbling on it since I laid it down. Great big size; my child has plenty of room to do her backhand walkover. Right now I have it on my hardwood floor and it's not slipping and sliding. Great addition to a home gym.

This exercise mat is a great upgrade over working out directly on a hard floor. The padding is comfortable and provides enough cushioning to make floor exercises much more enjoyable. The mat stays in place very well thanks to the backing, so I never had to worry about it sliding around during my workouts. It also has a nice weight to it. It feels substantial and well made without being so heavy that it is difficult to move when needed. When I first unrolled the mat, there was a slight plastic smell. It faded after about an hour and was no longer noticeable, so it was not an issue after airing it out. Overall, this is a quality exercise mat that is comfortable, stable, and easy to use. It has made my workouts much more comfortable, and I would definitely recommend it.
