We did use our own tools because they are obviously nicer quality. The rear break was harder to set up in comparison to the front break. We had it ready to ride in about 30 minutes. Could have been ready sooner but the kids wanted to help.

7 year old daughter loves her new bike! The color scheme is the best and she's gotten so many compliments on it. Assembly needed out of the box, but it took me less than 30 minutes to put it together. The longest part was taking the protective board and tape off. I was worried about the weight of it but no issue there at all! This is her first 20" and looks to be the last. The bike seems sturdy enough for her to grow with and take a ding or two.
