Safety flaw getting in %26 out of top bunk

We like the look of this bed. It's very sturdy. Our only concern is the top bunk is very hard to get out of since there's no opening in the rail to climb in %26 out of the bed. Our granddaughter has to "feel" for the ladder rungs with her feet while stepping over the rail. A couple of times she's almost slipped. Perhaps redesign with a rail opening .
