This is the second time I purchased this fry pan by Koch. It heats up well and fries food nicely without sticking. Cleanup is easy with a sponge and soap. The whole pan is comfortable to handle weightwise and erganomically. Oil beads up in the pan, so Im not sure if the oil is necessary, but I use a little Olive oil or butter anyway for flavor. The last one I owned lasted about 5 years, which in my opinion is commendable for a coated surface. That said, how this new one compares to the one I bought 5 years ago Im not really sure. I think my old one was slightly heavier, and possibly all stone, not coated. Time will tell, but in the meantime I am enjoying this new one. Don't hesitate to purchase.
