Equal/Better than Back-UPS OEM (Assembly Required)

The battery pack in my APC Back-UPS NS1080 finally came to the end of life and needed replacing. The cost of a factory replacement is currently $130. For a few dollars more, one could replace the entire unit, which defeats the purpose of replaceable battery packs besides being not very "green." This pair of batteries is a third of that price and is just as good. The battery cases are good quality and so is the assembly. I did have to take apart the OEM battery pack to retrieve the connector plate between the original batteries. Then I used it to join these Zipp batteries, wrapping the assembly with packing tape, creating a battery pack that looked just like the OEM, minus the fancy labels. The batteries are holding a charge and providing a runtime equal to or better than the OEM. Shipping was prompt and packing was adequate.
