Fabric badley stained

There are large dark black marks all over the fabric. This is so disappointing, this is a gift for my daughter for Christmas morning and we assembled it tonight just to find that two separate areas of the couch are badly marked. We have tried everything to get the marks off but they seem to be really stained into the faux leather.
