I have always had a problem with previous matts - finding myself off the matt a portion of the class and now I never run out of matt space. The other issue that I have had in the past is that my ankles hurt from the hard floor - not a problem anymore.

Best Mat I've Owned!

I was thrilled when Gaiam came out with the longer version of the Sol Dry-Grip mat.  I've had the smaller one for about a year and no other mat I've purchased has the non slip quality my Sol Dry-Grip does.  I tried switching to a longer mat in  a more expensive brand, so that I would have more room on my mat, but stopped using it due to slipping.  When I saw the longer version of the Sol Dry-Grip came out I purchased it immediately and am thrilled with it.
