I see these are about sold out now. I was lucky to see them just reduced to the sale price, though now after trying them, they would still be a good deal at the low full price. They fit well with clean lines without being overly tight at all. The waist does not gap. I'd say they are true to size. There was a treatment or dye smell initially but after trying to remove it with a vinegar rinse and washing and hanging outside I read about a method that worked great. I soaked the pants, (I also bought the medium rinse pair), for a few hours in the washer with Dr. Bronner's unscented castile soap. This was the baby soap variety. Then I drained and rinsed and the jeans were perfect.
