[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While the formula is nice, the biggest draw here is the beautiful packaging. It feels so glamorous to put on, and it's such a nice treat. I've never wanted to apply lipstick in public before, but this one wants to be SEEN! The lipstick goes on smooth, which is extra nice for a matte finish. It is definitely creamier than matte MAC lipsticks, but as a result it's not quite as long wearing and seems more prone to transfer. The Rouge Louboutin shade is stunning. A lot of times when it comes to luxury makeup items I feel you can find better options at a cheaper cost but this lippie pulled out all the stops! Firstly the color was PERFECT! It was a gorgeous true red and was super pigmented. One swipe covered my lips! Secondly, the longevity of this product blew me away! Normally I will pair a bold lipstick like this one with a lip liner to prevent bleeding and keep the lip shape looking sharp. I didn't use a lip liner once when I was trying this product out and didn't experience any bleeding or smearing through out the day! It was also extremely long lasting- my lips looked perfect 8 hours later without any touch ups. For a velvet matte it definitely didn't feel uncomfortable and held up exactly how I would have hoped!
