It is tall, not to wide or deep and a great value. It absolutely requires two people to put it together (final steps only). You build it in two sections, but the screws are hidden beneath, so you can't possibly just build it up from floor to ceiling as a single person (I tried and also tried to connect the two cases by myself because I'm stubborn and don't like asking for help). You must have a second person (two taller people would be ideal) to help lift and hopefully drop the top half into the perfect place not missing the small openings by a hair (watch your fingers to). It's heavy, wide and awkward so for mine, one area was damaged upon trying to connect the two cases. The damage doesn't show, but makes it a little weaker where that connection failed. You also must attach this to the wall for sturdiness due to the height. I primed, painted, sealed and added wallpaper to the backs of the center shelves for an economical finished floor to "almost" ceiling shelf. It makes my small living room look taller and larger. It will have to stay with the house when I move though due to that damaged spot I mentioned because now it won't ever be sturdy enough to move or come apart again. Good buy for homeowner.

I was very impressed by the construction and look of the shelves. I purchased two and put them together. Gives a very up-to-date look and the open ends are very pretty would purchase again!
