Sturdy and Beautiful

I usually prefer darker stains or solid paint but this is a beautiful piece. It's easy to put together, even for one person, and it gives you plenty of room for books without taking up too much space. I started by placing it on its side to put the shelves in and then upsidedown to get the screws in the top piece night and tight. Very pleased with this bookcase.

Beautiful, sturdy, SOLID wood!

"I am thoroughly impressed with this shelf. It was easy to assemble, feels rock solid, every part is made of solid wood- no particle board, and while I can't tell exactly what wood it is, it's not a cheap pine/fir and it doesn't have a hundred finger joints. The screws sit well below the finished sides and even have matching wood plugs to cover the holes. It also comes with a wall anchor, which is great because I have two small kids who climb everything."

Surprisely nicely built

I've bought cheap bookcases before and they always turn out wobbly. So I was pleasantly surprise when I was able to not only assemble this by myself in 30 min, but it's very sturdy and nice looking. I was going to give up and buy a more expensive bookcase so I'm happy I don't have to do that. It does feel pretty cheap in terms of the sturdiness of the particle boards, but overall it's nice looking and functional.
