One Part of a Two-Part Problem?

For many Dewalt miter saw (DWS 780) owners (like me), the problem with this item is that as a replacement part it is incomplete, only one part of a two-part problem. The other part often needing attention is the power switch for the light. Look carefully at the handle of your saw to see if the power switch for the light--by evidence of screws--is a separate unit. If the saw dates from '21 and earlier, the power switch most likely will not be a separate unit. The cost of replacing the whole handle is not worth the value of the problem.
