It is excellent for cutting those thick blister packages from products that are so overwrought. These snips are great. Sometimes scissors just don't cut it (pun intended). Great for opening clam shell packages and plastic wire ties. I've used them to cut thin aluminum with precision. I got two of these because I constantly use them and it is convenient to have one in my office and one with my tools.
