Due to the nature of 100% virgin wool, we only recommend dry cleaning this blanket to ensure that it lasts a lifetime. Also, every Arcturus blanket is triple-washed during the production process so you don't need to wash it right away. You can even spot clean the blanket if it does get dirty. Wool fibers are unique in that they can absorb moisture into the heart of each fiber which keeps moisture away from your skin. This means that woolen items do not need regular washing and will smell fresh after repeated use.

I'm super happy with my purchase. I was hesitant to buy this since there weren't many reviews and the price seemed too good to be true, but I'm so glad I did. I purchased it to use it as a throw blanket, so the twin size is plenty big for my needs. I decided to also use it as a top layer over my quilt and it amazes me how it keeps me warm without making me overheat. I'm usually too lazy to write reviews, so the fact that I'm writing one for this blanket should be all the encouragement you need to buy one. FYI, the blanket arrived a couple days earlier than the delivery date walmart provided.
