%231 Bed is easy to put together. However, my screws came a little mixed up so i had to differentiate which screws were supposed to go where. Made a couple mistakes and had to go back and change out screws. %232 If you have a drill with a drill bit that's the size of the hexagon needed to assemble the bed, use it! I usually use my drill for quicker assemble (not necessary, though) and doing it manually took forever! %233 the slats I'm worried about a bit. They don't seem completely strong but with all the reinforcement under the bed they may be just fine. I was, however, happy I didn't have to put the slats on individually. They come package in 2 bundle and you just "unroll" then and velcro them on the reinforcement. %234 Although I didn't want the material this bed is made out of, I'm completely happy about my purchase. I have a king with box springs underneath my mattress. The box springs has my bed so very high and are totally unnecessary. I totally recommend this purchase even with being uncertain with how the slats would hold up in the future.

I'm a huge skeptic so please believe me when I say, that this bed is beautiful in person! It's exactly what it looks like on the website. The sturdiness is true as well, but I did take advantage of the assembly option and he was in and out in 30 mins! He came with his own tools and even carried out the box it came in. So, If you're looking for strong and pretty, I recommend it. I'm 5'8 and it stands as tall as my neck. It's soft but be careful not to touch the velvet fabric with just any hands because it will leave a stain. But overall, I'm pleasantly pleased with my purchase. The platform bottom is strong as well. But be careful not to buy a flimsy mattress as it may now be as comfy as it should. I purchased a 12 inch mattress that compliments the height of the headboard so I can buy a box spring if I want to add extra height, but it's not necessary.
