My son loves his new bed. He is very pleased with the comfort and firmness, but he is still small only about 80 lbs. For an adult, it isn't as firm. Still comfortable, but more of a medium firmness. We've only had the mattress a couple of months, so we can't speak to its longevity.

Go higher into the clouds. We first ordered a 10 ''but it never plumped up past 9 After the trail time we found it was still a bit hard for us. We then ordered the 12" and it's pretty dang dreamy. It truly is not too soft and not to hard but just right. And cradles you lower back so nicely. Those few inches do make a difference.
