Once I was able to convince my father that he should really have it with him when he is alone it has gone smoothly. One problem is it doesn't seem to ring the emergency friend long enough for them to get to the phone before going on to the next number.

Great product for someone who would just have a family member called in an emergency. It dials direct to nubmbers put in contact list and keeps calling the next number until it gets an intelligent response from the number called. If it gets an answering machine or voicemail, it will hang and call the next number in list. You can set it up to dial 911 if not one of four people are reached. You can also answer your rining phone with it if you are not close to the phone.
