Good balance of cost and performance

While any card with < 4GB of VRAM is going to have limitations, this GTX 1060 is a solid choice for those of us who want to be able to enjoy high level graphics settings on newer games but don't use super high resolution displays. For 1080p gaming with anything other than ultra HD textures, this card does a solid job. I've encountered some stuttering with higher geometry detail settings, but I suspect that is a CPU issue rather than the card. Stability has been fine, although I haven't tried to overclock it. It's also nice to know that this card meets the base line specs for VR gaming with Vive or Rift. Bottom line: if you're running a 1080p display and don't have the latest CPU in your rig, this is a solid, pragmatic choice that doesn't give up too much vs. it's more expensive 6GB sibling.
