very nice shelf unit

I am over 70 and didn't have a drill, so I had my son put it together. took less than an hour. that little tool they send with it is not much help. I am very very happy with this shelf,. I took note of the sizes shown online, got my measure tape and measured my old shelf, which was larger. I knew exactly what size I would be getting. I notice some reviews said it was smaller than the measurements. Nope, I think from their own photos, they ordered a different size. You can attach this unit to the wall for safety. I do not have little children to worry about so I don't have it attached. It is sitting on low pile carpet %26 feels stable to me. I am using it for seasonal decor, not heavy books or electronics.

Works well as display case for light items

Bought two and they matched each other well. However, shelves are much darker than photos on Walmart website. They are also splotchy in appearance although we've gotten used to that. Height that can be accommodated on each shelf is less than 13" (which is shelf-to-shelf center distance). Max height that can be on a shelf is a bit over 12 1/2 inches.
