Assembly was a tad tricky, snapping the protective grill together, other than that no problem. It's quiet even at top speeds. The remote control is a great feature and the timer is great for sleeping, just set it and forget it. Good value for the $$.

This is a great fan for the price. Well constructed, simple to assemble, does not rattle while running like some fans do. The 5 speeds provide a nice wide variety of choices. The remote control is the best feature, in my opinion. However, I was disappointed in the fact that the remote does not control the oscillation. I am currently using the fan in my bedroom. Provides great air movement and circulation for that size room. It is wonderful to be able to use the remote from the comfort of the bed. I tried using it in the living room, but it did not push enough air flow across the larger room. Personal experience has led me to realize that an 18" fan is much better at moving sufficient airflow in a larger room than a 16" fan. The lack of remote controlled oscillation was also a big problem for my particular needs. Be aware that the blue lights on the fan are very bright in a dark room. I put a strip of black electrical tape over the lights which blocks the light while still allowing the remote to work. And it blends in just fine with the black fan. I would recommend this fan for a small to medium room application.
