They have a small room and the ceiling it's that tall an they have room to sit up in bed an not hit there head on the ceiling or even when my 12 yr old son who is 5'9 sits up in bed his head doesn't hit the top bunk. If you want something for a small room a not pricey This bed is it. I also didn't buy a big mattress with springs I got the memory foam mattress an it's very comfy and give more room as well. Will be ordering another one soon for my little girl who loves it

Great bunk bed! Easy to put together, I did it myself in about 2 hours for my two kids. I've literally never built anything before but it was simple. The instructions are very clear. If I can do it, anyone can LOL!
