Microwave DirectionsIn 2-quart microwaveable bowl, combine rice-pasta mix and 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine. Microwave uncovered at high 1 minute. Stir. Microwave at HIGH 12 more minutes or until pasta is golden brown. Remove and stir in 2 cups water and special seasonings. Microwave uncovered, at HIGH 1821 minutes or until rice is tender. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.Microwave ovens vary; adjust times as needed. Rice Range TopDirectionsWhat You Need2 Tablespoons Butter or Margarine and 2 Cups Water1. In a large skillet, combine rice-pasta mix and butter or margarine. Saut over medium heat until pasta is golden brown, stirring frequently.2. Slowly stir in water and Special Seasonings; bring to a boil.3. Cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until rice is tender. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.2 cups prepared. You can't go wrong with the is simple rice meal. Goes perfect with a meal. I think when preparing it you should use less water. Like say if I'm using 2 boxes I think the box says 4 cups or a little more. When Im preparing 2 boxes I use 3 cups of water instead of 4 cups. And if it's one box I use 1 and half cups of water. If you like it watery then follow the directions to the letter. It's not watery if you follow the directions. I like my rice like Chinese rice. It's most but no liquid in it.

I find all these Knorr pouch meals to be good, considering what they are. I have tried them all. You will usually have things to add to the pot to fill this out into a more home made taste of a meal. For this one, add some canned or leftover chicken. This particular purchase goes to the local food pantry because of the poor decision to stop SNAP. GV price is the lowest.
