Majestic Pet Poly/Cotton & Sherpa Orthopedic Double Dog Bed Green Medium 24" x 34" x 5"

I bought this bed for my 7-year-old Boxer-Shepherd mix, who has developed some arthritis in his hips. Laying on the hardwood floor of our home is uncomfortable for him, so he's always seeking a soft spot to lay - usually my bed, my mom's bed or her recliner. Because he sheds so much, this has been a major problem, so I was looking for an orthopedic bed for him that wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg. This one filled the bill. I would have liked the price to be a little lower, but to be honest, the bed size is good for him, it doesn't crush or compress when he lays on it (had it for 2 weeks now, no sign of compression at all, and he's on it several hours a day), and it has a removable cover for washing - a huge bonus - so I didn't really mind the price too much. The only improvement I could possibly suggest would be a backing on the bottom of the bed that would stop it from sliding on the floor - but that might make it difficult to machine wash - so I solved that problem by putting a bit of area rug-stop (also bought at WalMart) under the bed. All in all, I'm very happy with the bed, and so is my dog! He prefers to lay on this now, and leaves all the other furniture alone!
