Print quality good; setup difficult.

The overall quality of this device seems to be quite high and the print quality is good, but it has been difficult to get set up properly. The single-line LCD display, requiring multiple button pushes to find a desired setting, is both confusing and time-wasting. After several attempts to change settings and finally getting most of what I wanted, I vowed not to try changing anything again! The online instructions are confusing and not very helpful, and the recommended software and firmware updates don't seem to happen without difficulties.

Buyer beware of subscription scam!!!

This is Brother printer that I have purchased. I was so excited when I bought this printer. I just knew it was gonna be as good as the first one. This printer was not as good as the first one. Buyer beware. They put a chip on there and the purpose of the chip is so that you can purchase the expensive toner. I hate I wasted my money on this stupid thing. Just be aware of the replacements are $60 plus you might as well buy a new printer. This is ridiculous. Then you have to do a subscription which that's a rip off too!!!!

not worth the frustration

Not worth it. I'm fairly computer savvy yet I've spent 3 hours, and still could not get this thing to reliably connect. Good thing Walmart is good with returns, because this thing is getting boxed up and returned before I throw it against the wall. Oh not to mention that Brother trys to make you sign up, request personal data and commit to way too much stuff just to get a device that you've already purchased to work. done Done DONE!
