The sauce needs to go.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you for the opportunity to try the InnovAsian crispy butter chicken. My husband enjoyed the chicken. It was tender, the bread coating was crispy, and it had a good flavor. Sadly the sauce spiciness reminds him of a bad Mexican mole or a bean paste sauce. We ended up using our own homemade plum sauce with it which he really enjoyed. I cooked it in the convection oven so that it would come out crispy. I ended up warming up the sauce in the microwave for another 20 seconds after the hot water soak. It took a while to thaw out & still felt cold. We would buy it again, but the sauce needs to go. Or if it had a plum sauce or different sauce than the current red curry. We enjoy curry food. A yellow curry with coconut milk I think would taste better.
Good Dish but nothing like traditional butter chic
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The flavors were not bad, not spicy at all. But it doesn't taste like traditional butter chicken, none of the creaminess of the sauce. The chicken pieces had thicker breading, which I don't believe that's how it's normally prepared. All in all, it's a good dish but don't expect it to be like traditional butter chicken.
crispy and moldy spicy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first time trying butter chicken, and I was not a fan of how this tasted. I did not feel that the curry seasoning and butter sauce mixed very well for my personal taste. I cooked the chicken in the air fryer, and it stayed crispy after it was mixed with the sauce. I would say that the spice level was mild. I also felt like the portion size was decent.
