Poor engineering equals low quality

The top and bottom pieces of the cabinet [E and K] were mislabeled. So when I was "almost" done building it I actually had to take off piece E and replace it with K. Then it was time to attach piece K to the bottom-and it looks like they actually didn't just mislabel it-they took an E piece then tried to make it a K piece. But they didn't get the holes right. I could only get two spots to align properly with screws, and I ended up ziptying the base of the cabinet [k] to the rest of the cabinet around the steel tube frame to make it sturdy enough to use-that's ridiculous. The doors don't have a proper hinge system, you simply hang them on screws that fit in the top and bottom. The top screws they tell you to use are too short-I had to use some of the leftover longer screws that couldn't be used on piece K. I wasn't going to take it all apart AGAIN. Finally- the little legs that attach to the bottom to keep the plastic wicker off the ground also do not have the necessary holes drilled into piece K to attach them. There is no way this will last outside for more than a couple of years. Also, when the doors are attached, there is a one inch gap between them and the pull out drawer, and the top screws that are working as pivet hinges are exposed. It looks really cheap when you notice that. With all of the weird manufacturing issues, it really feels like this was designed by AI then the pieces were made and shipped out without anyone making a proper prototype first. A few small tweaks and this would have been a five star item. If you don't notice the zipties and the gap-it looks great. It's sturdy enough, for now. I don't have high hopes on the doors staying aligned for long though, and the wicker on the base is going to degrade quickly sitting outside directly on the patio year round.
