Great screen

The Montana 710 that I purchased has a beautiful, clear, easy-to-read screen. The touch controls are easy to use. The GPS is big for carrying on a hike, but I can live with that to get the additional map display. There are two things I wish Garmin would address: (1) make it more difficult to accidentally "restore defaults", and (2) create a half-height data field that shows both trip low and high elevation (similar to the lat/lon location data field).

Hope I can get more out of it.

Maybe I just need to work with it more, but my old one (that can't be updated anymore) had more useful tech on it for me. It came with property boundaries and ownership maps. This one doesn't seem to and from what I have found out so far, I need to buy additional chips to get this info. For the money I don't know if it was worth it, but I will use it through this hunting season to see if it was worth it.
