For Use as a Hot Pack:

Boiling Method:

Bring 4 quarts of water to a rolling boil. Remove the water from heat and immerse in the room temperature gel pack. After 40 seconds, remove the pack from the water using tongs. Wrap the pack with a towel and apply it to the desired area.

Microwave Method:

• Place the room temperature gel pack in the microwave. Heat it at full power (750 watts) for no more than 55 seconds. After microwaving, knead the pack to distribute heat evenly. For additional heat, reheat the pack in the microwave at 10-second intervals until reaching the desired temperature. Do not exceed a total heating time of 65 seconds. Wrap the pack with a towel and apply it to the desired area. Note that microwave ovens may vary in wattage output, so heating rates can differ.
• For Use as a Cold Pack:
• Place the gel pack flat in the freezer for a minimum of two hours. Once chilled, remove the gel pack from the freezer. Wrap it with a towel and apply it to the desired area. After 30 minutes, remove the pack. For the next application, leave the area uncovered for an hour before reapplying the cold pack.

Cautionary Measures:

• Check for Damage: Do not use the gel pack if it is punctured, torn, or leaking.
• Use a Towel: Always cover the gel pack with a towel before placing it next to the skin to prevent potential discomfort.
