I prefer a more oily taste that I had in the Netherlands. This is a bit too little fat and too much vinegar… I suppose it's the right amount of vinegar but just that the fish herring wasn't fat enough.

Like! Go to snack and source of protein. The texture, flavor, the pickled onion even, just cannot be beat. Not only, just moisture and easy to chew and swallow, unlike most chicken breasts. Been buying it and always having it available in my fridge. Price is reasonable esp at Walmart. With vinegar as the preservative, it is on top of my emergency supply food list as well. Even better that it is a product of the USA.

This used to be something that I just had over New Years, but for the last year or two, I've been enjoying it year round. Nice sized jar, and always consistent quality. Flavor is great, goes well with crackers, and for me it's a nice change of pace from normal snacks around bedtime.
