Burning Smell While Charging - Unsafe for Kids

Bought this tablet for my toddler and about two months after the replacement (delivered August 23) it started smelling like something was burning while charging. The charger, cable, and port all smelled burnt, even though my child only used it normally. The outside looks fine, but I don't trust the battery or charging system now. Not worth the safety risk for a kids' device.

My other daughter has a different type of tablet from years ago that works great, but this one doesn't want to load anything. it has a big screen thats about the only plus side to it.
